SUMMER SOLSTICE 2026

Join us as we honor the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the solar cycle .

Julie offers perennial wisdom associated with the solstice. Astronomy, astrology and archeology illustrate why the solstice has been honored since ancient times. Guided meditation  honors your inner light.

Musician Doug Yaeger accompanies your meditation with his enchanting chimes, crystal bowls, and shimmery gong. Experience an exquisite sound bath as you journey inward. 

Julie offers (optional) hands-on energy healing to soothe and replenish.

Chairs are available, as well as some blankets and cushions for your meditation, but please bring whatever you need (yoga mats, blankets, pillows) to make yourself comfortable as floors are hardwood. Be aware that part of our event (likely our closing circle) may be outdoors.

PLEASE NOTE WE ARE MEETING ONE WEEK PRIOR  TO THE SOLSTICE to avoid conflict with Father's Day.

Location: The Rocky Hill Community Center is located at 761 Old Main Street, but it's easiest if you park on the Church Street side of the community center near the Cora Belden Library. Our circle is in Activity Room 6, aka "the dance room."  There will be someone at the main entrance to direct you.  

Description: Enjoy progressive relaxation to relieve physical tension, breathwork to calm the mind, and energy awareness to create balance.  Meditation and sound healing relieve stress, improve sleep, and create heart-brain coherence.  Instrumentalist Doug Yaeger accompanies your meditation with enchanting crystal bowls, chimes, and shimmery gong.  Julie provides a mini-teaching to inform your meditation and soothing hands-on energy healing as you rest in a vibrational sound bath. Join our peaceful circle, relax deeply, and listen for your own deepest wisdom.

Our floor is hardwood, so bring whatever you need (blanket, pillow, yoga mat) to make yourself comfortable.  Chairs are available.
